The World Academy of Science (TWAS) and the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) will team together to give presentations and run a day workshop in the themed area of “Research on Social Transformation and Sustainable Development”. The objective  is to outline to all participants in 2 presentations why it is important to align scientific research to the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and why a focus on SDG 7 ‘gender equality’ in particular can make a difference to the relevance and quality of research projects.
