Visiting researcher and teacher at the School of Engineering of Aalto University
Dr. Munjur E. Moula is visiting researcher and teacher at the School of Engineering of Aalto University, and research associate at the Faculty of Social Sciences of University of Helsinki, Finland.
Dr Moula has obtained his Licentiate and Doctoral degrees from the University of Helsinki. He conducted postdoctoral research (2012-2015) in –‘biomass supercritical water gasification integration with CHP units - Definition of novel social & political constraints for enlarged multi-objective optimization’ project supported by the Finnish Academy, at Aalto University.
He also acted as the principal investigator of New Energy Finnish Academy funded project at the University of Helsinki (2015-2017).
Currently, Dr. Moula has been involved in developing societal acceptance renewable energy model that considers right social and public policy measures in the context of sustainability science.
Dr. Moula is the member (elected) of Aalto University Academic Affairs Committee (2018-2021). Since 2016, he has been serving as the Director of communication and networking of research community (W2) at the School of Chemical Engineering, Aalto University, Finland. He is the founding members of scientific research community titled Social Acceptability Study (SAS) Network and W2 research community, at Aalto University.
Since 2011, Dr. Moula has been delivered many guest lectures on fieldwork, social acceptance, social work, social and public decision making, management, energy economics, child welfare, street children, sustainability science, renewable energies and circular economy at different renowned institutions in a set of diverse countries and challenging education environments.
In 2016 Dr Moula was visiting professor to the University of Malaya in Malaysia. He is the author and co-author of many scientific papers. He also acted as the main editor for his two books (users’ acceptance of renewable solutions and constructing a green circular society). He has been invited in several national and international conferences as keynote speaker, panelist, moderator, organized several conferences, workshops and events and awarded for innovation in research.
His current research interests are: social acceptability research, circular economy, global child protection, and sustainable renewables market.
